About the facilitator

Manuela Salz is a Life Coach, Educator and Group Facilitator and has been trained at various universities and colleges overseas and in Australia. Her educational background is varied in Education, Coaching, Counselling, NLP, and action-methods, team leadership and group work.

Manuela has a passion and deep interest in people’s personal development. Her work touches people in many different ways and may enable individuals to heal, further develop and experience themselves through thinking, feeling, action and expression.

Manuela has further expanded her professional experience through Lifeline as a Telephone Counsellor and Supervisor, the Australian College of Psychodrama (Leadership, Group Work, Listening Skills, Supervision, Personal development), the Life Coaching Acadamy, the Bouverie Centre, the Cairnmiller Institute, the Living Works Education (Suicide Intervention), PsychOz Publications, and SkillPath (Coaching & Teambuilding Skills).

Manuela provides individual coaching and also group work.

Manuela has also been trained as a Pedagogue* in Germany. The word Pedagogue* is not commonly understood in Australia. This area of my expertise, pedagogy, is thoroughly defined by wikipedia as the *"science and art of education. Its aims range from the full development of the human being to skills acquisition." My day to day work, coaching individuals encompasses these areas of expertise in individual and group settings.

Her deep passion for being a Life Coach & Pedagogue* began with her initial qualification over 7 years of training and work in the field in Germany in 1988 and continued with further deepening her studies at universities majoring in Psychology & Counselling, Adult Education & Humanistic Education. Manuela has worked with children, young adults, adults and families in various settings such as Kindergartens, Child Care Centres, a UNESCO project-school in Germany, Residential Care Homes, in the Management for disabled people and their families (TAC & Workcover Clients), La Trobe University with International Students and at various Counselling Facilities.

Manuela's passion has always been to listen to peoples journeys, dreams and challenges and to discover and strengthen the other persons knowledge and their passion, yearnings and learnings within themselves. Manuela has an enormous interest in empowering the individual to live life creatively and fully in the here and now. A passion to empower individuals and to being a companion on your journey of exploration with curiosity and spontaneity.

I am grateful for my mentors who have walked alongside me to help me to be who I am now. Isaac Newton (1643-1727) said: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" that preceded me.
